So, I've not practiced any musical instrument, but I want to start learning the oboe. How many months (years) do I have to practice until start playing something (a simple music)?
Is it difficult?

The oboe is a real beautiful instrument when you know it and can play it well. after the first month you should be able to play a little tune; but as far as a symphony, sonata, advanced music go's, you have to practice alot and put your best effert into it. It will take awhile but it's worth it.

Years before you get into any sonatas/concertos, but a short tune such as Mary has a little Lamb shouldnt take more than a week or 2 to a month.
