A note is really more of an abstract concept than anything else. I'm not sure it's really possible to determine where a note is persay. I suppose you could measure the effective distance of a given tone based on the strength of its vibration through the air, but then again this would be relative to the person hearing it because everyone's hearing is different. Does that mean that where I would find the notes on the saxophone, you might not find them there? Are you willing to specify a given amount of error so that I may know exactly how much overlap between what I hear and what you hear is necessary to ensure we're actually talking about the same note? Are you willing to specify a certain frequency range you're willing to call any given note? Do you find them in the literal or figurative sense? Is perhaps "finding" a metaphor for your search for meaning in your playing?
