Hey Ladies and Jellyfish,
I've been playing Alto for about 3 years now, and I'm grade 6/7ish standard. I've just had a Sop sax and was wondering if anyone has any music for Sop or where I can obtain it. Everywhere I've looked tell me to use Clarinet music coz it's in Bb too, but the range is different to the sax. Help?!!
I don't usually play much Jazz, but would like to start. Any ideas?
Ta!

Use Bb tenor sax music. The tenor is pitched 1 octave below the soprano, but the written range is the same.

I've just started playing Bari Sax and I need a fingerchart, that is accurate. Also I need a visual on the horn fingerings. THANX

If you can have the notes be one octive higher. I play clarinet/sop sax and it works or just put the music upsidedown...Kiddin

Check out the play along series music minus one , also
there is a lot of new play along material with great CD sound tracks. A good source is Jamey Abersold's web site
www.jazzbooks.com.
