The scales on the saxophone are the same as the scales on any other instrument. I suggest you try Gary Ewer's Easy Music Theory site at http://www.musictheory.halifax.ns.ca/ and take the link to Free Lessons.

G, D, A, E, B, F#, C#
Flat Scales
F, B flat, E flat, A flat, D flat, D flat, G flat, c flat

I will recommend you this site http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/martin_carter/
there is a program called Sax Tutor and the Author is Martin Carter, you can download free. With this program I learned all the fingerings on the Alto Sax, so when I began my formal classes in music I already know the fingerings. You can also practice the twelve scales for Alto, Tenor, Soprano and Bari.

I am tryiong to find a alto saxophone scales book/manual because I am not very interested in playing notes I want to play by air which gives mor flexability.
