how do you do a vibrato(i'm not sure what its called - to make the sound waver) on clarinet?

Use your diaphgram. But I would suggest that you don't do vibrato on the clarinet. A clarinet's tone sounds much nicer without vibrato.
Try listening to professionals play, most or all of them use a pure and round tone and they don't use vibrato at alll.

I agree.. cl sounds horrible with effects.. But I've heard of jazz clarinetists use flutter tongue, vibrato, etc.. It can be done, but not with noobs like me..

Jaw oscilation is the main method of vibrato for jazz clarinetists. Listen to Reginald Kell for a truly authentic classical clarinet vibrato tone. Some modern soloists do apply a bit, but still, it's really rarely used like what flute472 said.
