which one is harder to play? flute or clarinet? and which one(chinese flute) is harder than that?

I only play one of those instruments, but each instrument has it's own challenges to overcome, and depending on the person playing, they can be hard or easy.

yeah i play clarinet but i have played flute, clarinet has a hard mouht structure but flute has no wind resistance so...
i dont think there is such thing as an easier instrument...so might be easier to different people but personally i think they are all equally as hard/easy because they are all different

haha. No easier instrument?Hmmm..... Recorder???
If flute has no wind resistance, why did my student conductor tell the flutes and tubas to hold 12 counts while we had to hold 24? Is there some kind of thing they have to overcome, or he just nuts?

I would imagine it is because flute & tuba require a lot more air than most any other wind instruments. It may seem strange because the flute is so much smaller than a tuba, but the air support required to produce and maintain a note is comparable between the two. If you play flute, then you're familiar with the light-headedness & dizziness we all experience when we first start playing. Probably the conductor doesn't want anyone to passout!
