ok well we kinda just started concert season and well...basically i suck at sight reading...ive improved a lot since last year when i could NOT sight read...but im still fairly bad..the only way that ive ever been taught to improve is just to practice sight reading...doing it over and over and over and over
i do this sometimes...when i practice at home and have time but is ther another method...or do i just have to keep doing this?

I don't think there is any other way other than just keep practicing.
But one thing I would suggest if you want to improve more is that you should enjoy what you are doing. Don't just sight-read pieces that are easy, try to challenge yourself. For example maybe you could sight-read an easy band piece and tomorrow or next week you could try sight-reading the flute solo part from Rosini's William Tell Overture.
The main thing is that you must challenge yourself to sight-read pieces that are more difficult and not just easy ones. Also, you could try to sight-read pieces from other instruments like violin or oboe.
Hope this helps.
