well...i was supposed to make that switch for marching band this year but my band teacher decided against it. tenor sax is a fun instrument to play but you have to ask yourself if you plan on continuing band through however many years what would you perfer to play... and tenor, though similar to clarint in many ways has aspects that are different and sometimes hard to learn. i just wanted to learn it when i started not actually play it for band and i think its good to learn multiple instruments. just make sure if/when you learn to play you have someone helping because it could really screw you over if you dont. tenor looks like it would be heavy but isnt really when you use a neck strap.
respond please i would like to know your decision

I'm playing the clarinet for band and i just want to learn how to play the sax. i picked the tenor because i prefer its sound to the alto. But i'll have to learn it myself so maybe i'll get method books- if i decide to learn it, because instruments are very expensive.
