hey ppl.. what's the fastest way to season your reed?
what size reeds are you guys using?..

For size, I use 3 and a half. By seasoning, if you mean getting it ready to play, soak the WHOLE reed in your mouth for a while, and then just play for a while.

hey.. but some vandoran reeds are unevenly cut.. they're like one side lower than the other, and some of them, though the same size, are way thicker than others... i'm currently using zonda.. btw: KFC rocks

currently using a 5 vandoren white master and 4 vandoren black master, but thats for an oehler system clarinet, if you are using a boehm (whih is most likely the case) just use regular vandorens, and to season them, i normally stick the entire reed in my mouth (as stated previously), and suck on it for a while. Then, while i am playing, i have a cup of water with at least two extra, previously seasoned, reeds submerged in the cup, so if my reed breaks, i can play on a "new" one that is not dry and is much less prone to squeaking. hope this helped.
