First of all, I apologize if this may be stupid. I actually only took 9 months of classical lessons.... and found myself playing in a symphony band! I'm really excited about it, but they level they play at is really difficult. These next few weeks are FluteBoot Camp for me!
ANYWAY, has anyone ever listened closely to the cool flute solo from Phantom of the Opera, first broadway recording CD, track 11 (ballet song)? I'd LOVE to learn it, if anyone knows of a way to get the sheet music. OTherwise, I have most if it figured out by ear myself for my own sheet music.
Ok, here's my question. Are there any fingering shortcuts between the third octave notes of F#, G and A? Perhaps a trill fingering? It would make playing this solo A LOT easier!
Thanks a ton of for your help, you guys are great and so is this site!!

Hey,
I don't know bout the music for Phantom of the Opera, but for the trill fingerings go to....
http://www.wfg.sneezy.org
Then go to Instruments, flute, and trill fingering for the 3rd octave. Hope this helps.

The harmonic fingerings for F#-G and A are the same fingerings as- b nat. 2 -c2 - and thumb and the second finge on the left hand {and Eb}
More fingeringas can be found at www.wfg.sneezy.org
