ok i was at a folklife festival and at the turkish foutune telling booth they had a clarinet/flute player
the guy played a c clarinet but the register key on it wrapped around to the front
my discription sucks but if you know what i am talking about...he told me he had seen some Bb clarinets with the same style register key...have any of you seen one...know where to buy one?

The wrap around register key has occurred off and on in clarinet design. Right now it is out of favor and you will probably have to look for a clarinet that is at least 75 years old to find one.
Advantages: Less problem with spit in the tone hole and they look nice.
Disadvantages: Being longer, they are more fragile and tend to break.

Albert simple system, I presume. Far less keys, many less shotcuts. But something to keep you occupied when trying it out :o)
They're fairly common on eBay but you never know what condition they're in, unless the description states it AND the seller seems knowledgable. Even then there's no gaurantee but the chances of it being OK if it says ae higher.
