 Clarinet question

My lips(the part touching the reed) get sore after playing the high notes for some time. Is this normal or am i pressing too hard?

yes, when i have to play high notes sometimes my lips hurt after. try not to push hard on the reed if u can because that might make it hurt more to!!!

a lot of people think you have to press harder on the reed to make a higher sound but if you take in more mouthpiece you dont have to

I play the clarinet and u can use more air and use less grip on the clarinet.

hmmm that has never happened to me but i suggest to use more air and don't have so much lip grip
