hey i wanted to know what is the different between soprano saxophone and tenor saxophone?

size difference, range, price. the soprano sax is small and straight, a tenor is larger and wrapped around. soprano sax is one octave higher then the tenor sax. the soprano needs a tighter embouchure while tenor needs a looser embouchure. there is a much wider range of music for tenor sax, while very few composers write for a soprano sax. they are mainly used in jazz bands. while the soprano sax is much smaller then the tenor, it is often more expensive. manufactorers do not make many sopranos at a time and thus the price is higher. hope this helps.

Well I knew that (no discredit to Theboy) but I suppose it's just a case of picking up infomation as you go ... well in my case anyway - cue Theboy ... :o)
