 my tenor sax

i played alto and recently i bought a tenor but when i play the D it sounds flat and not good

Well, I think it might just be your sax, either you got yourself a leak, or its just out of tune, OR maybe you got teh fingering wrong. I might be wrong tho.

I doubt it's the fingering...cause isn't that the same as alto? But lowed D can be difficult to get and if you are used to playing alto, then make sure that you are pressing the right keys, as you are used to different distance between the keys and that may be your problem.
