 high notes on clarinet

I can't seem to get the high notes on the clarinet.Please help.

I find it helps if you give yourself a run up to the higher notes, start lower down the register, then work up. Make sure your reed is good, not too hard but not too soft. Also make sure that your fingers cover the holes. Hope this helps

Beath support too - push from your diaphragm, and push hard. Don't be afraid of oveblowing and squeaking - you can always work down from there. But ensure you have good posture, make sure your embouchue and thoat aren't too tight, but not too open, and push the air HARD right from your diaphragm. Let us knwo how you get on :o)

Also check your instrument, you may have a leak, or something else. It costs about 30 dollars (I think).

dont tighten up too much cuz that makes it hard to push the air through....doing runs up and down are good and also trying to adjust your mouth while trying to play it...ne ways how high are you trying to play?

I have been playing the clairnet for at least a year now and i have worked on my lips to help me get to the high notes. I have noticed if you dont pinch the reed so tight it will help!

Hereis a tip that some of my friends tell me. when get the rigester and the first fingler u have to blow harder than the lower notes if it doesn't sound right try a song. I f the song doesn't sound right try to gety your clarinet check-out or ask your band/music teacher (they help alot for me)
