 fife fingering positions

My fife is in the key of C. Are the fingering positions different if your fife is of a of different key?

Nope,the basic fingerings for all fifes are exactly the same (advanced fifers can take advantage of many alternate fingerings to play better in tune, &c), but otherwise, any decent fingering chart will work for your C fife.

If it helps at all, when you play a written D on your fife (all fingers down), that will sound as a Concert C.

what are the fingurings for a fife from the revolutionary war? i have been looking off of my clarinet music but i have only been able to play by ear not notes
