I am new to playing the oboe, started 3 months ago. I suddenly started having problems last week with my 1st octave key which suddenly stopped working (i am just getting th elower octave notes when holding down the octave key). Have cleaned out the hole under the octave key and this has made no difference whatsoever so what have I done to it????? I use a medium soft reed at the moment which suits me fine and changing to a new reed made no difference either
Help needed please!!
