Cannonball is a pretty new and upcoming sax manufacturer based out of Utah.Their saxes are just as good as Selmer if not better. They have excellent altissimo and the timbre is powerful.Selmer better look out, they are that good.

Yes, I have a tenor and a alto saxophone by cannonball. I love them. I used to have an old selmer, but I can't say that I miss them

I have to agree with the last three replies. I have my
second Cannonball tenor (B1) with black nickel and lacquer
plated keys. The action is not as good as Selmer but
everything else is better. Selmer, you have to try dif-
ferent saxes, but I find consistancy with Cannonball.
I have never played an instrument that is so fun to play.
The altissimo of the latest BB Global Series is just like
they advertise - easy. From low Bb to altissimo - no
other horn I've played is like it. I think you will get
a great horn. However, I understand they have a new model
out to replace the Global Series. Good luck.

The new model is called the "Stone Series". Jimmy Scimonetti told me it's the same sax (body & neck), but they put semi-precious stones on the side keys and palm keys. It' looks awsome! Check it out at:

I live in Los Angeles, and the ONLY shop to play more than three different name brand saxes at the same shop is 1 hour north in Lancaster (Scimonetti band & Orchestra).

I never even heard of Canonball. They put me in a room with EVERY Selmer, yamaha, Yanigasawa, B&S, and Keilwerth. I thought the Cannonball looked the best, felt the best, but it sure as hell played better than any other sax being made.

Here's their website:
