I did too the best thing to know is to practice at home so when you stick out at band you know you sound good. Then make sure your sound is not sharp or flat. Make sure to blow harder than you blow on your flute, too.

That isn't true for piccolo.. Piccolo doesn't take more air than flute. if you overblow you will be sharp.. the key is to watch your embroshure when playing piccolo.

Do you play the piccolo or flute? I play the flute. I want to get a piccolo, but i have to wait for My Birthday and/or Christmas, because I have no idea of the average price! I love the flute! And it amazes me, of how people can live with out playng an instrument!

Make your lip hole smaller and push out more air.
If you play the flute now and want to play the piccilo, you mast have at least 4-5 years of practice on the flute.
