I am about to take alto sax lessons, and i need to know what should I look for in a teacher that considers him to be a good instructor.

Patience, do you get along with them? Are they prepared? Do they just want the money, or are they there to help? Do they seem experienced? How old are they? Rates, although it doesn't affect their skill at teaching.
