When I begin to play my alto sax it is difficult and it doesnt sound good. But once i play it for a few minutes its like it "warms" up and it plays easier and it sounds good.
Can somebody give me some scientific explanation for this happening?

It's probably you that's warming up more than the sax itself.

metal contracts and expands in different temperature climates. if you leave your sax outside in the cold, your isntrumetn will becold, so the metal has contracted. playing sharp, and in the cold, metal does not like to move properly, it likes to stick together. as you play, you blow warm air into your instrument, heating the metal. as this goes, your tone will slowly go to normal. that is why before tuning you do scales. to warm up your instrument. if you tune before scales, your instruments will warm up and your intonation will change. causing the tuning to be utterly useless. wherever you go, keep your sax with you, instead of leavin it in a car, or a place cold. when you go to practises or class, keep it in a locker or equipment storage room, so it does not get too cold. if you do come up with a sax heater, you would strike gold. hope this helps.

There is a heater that is designed to warm up saxaphones. Its called a hair blowdryer.Yep!!Just stick the blow dryer in the bell and turn it on, but not on high.Put it on low and just medium heat and every once in awhile pull the blowdryer out of the bell of the saxaphone. You do not want the bell to get to hot!You could damage the pads over time.
