I'm writing a song in sibelius and every time I want to write a B3 or C4 (low B and C), it's marked in red... Is it really that difficult to play those notes?
I play clarinet, so I don't know. The clarinet hasn't any problems to play low notes.

Well it's not so much that they're really hard to get out, it's just a tuning issue. The C is fine, but the B tends to waver on the flat side. However, it's not impossible. I think Sibelius may be over-reacting a little bit there.

Yes, low B and C are very difficult. Along with being difficult, the tone and the dynamics on these notes are MUCH harder to control.

Sibelius colours notes red that are not possible to play on an instrument. On most oboes Bb below the treble stave is possible. It's not particularly nice for the player, but entirely possible.
