hey, if any of you are looking for a good but inexpensive clarinet mothpeice try the preimier by hite. Its a professonal moke moth peice so it made almost like them just by a different company. It has great sound quality and is easy to play., i got one and love it it is by fare my favorite mothpeice ever.

Higher price does not always equal higher quality. While the cheapest may well be inferior to the very top of the price list, in between there can be considerable variation, especially when comparing different manufacturers. Add to mix personal preferences and requirements, and the "best" mouthpiece for a particular player may or may not be the most expensive one.

FWIW, like clarinetgirl, I also like the Premier by Hite.

Hey
Try the B.45 by Vandooren! Its about $70.00 so its not cheap, at least not to me. It has the feature of a wide opening, you will also need, to increase the tone, a D.Bonade-Bb-france ligature(Its inverted). On this mouthpeice I play a Vandoren 4 even though on my others I play the Gonzalez 3 3/4, My teacher says that this shows that I will be a good clarinetist(I'm only 13).
This is just my experience. I've also figured out that if your playing lower notes(without the register key) that a student mouthpeice and a lower/weaker reed helps the sound out greatly.
