Can any one help with finguring for the bombard? Or a tutor book? Tips on managing the reeds would also be helpful. As a clarinet player I can manage single reeds but know nothing about adjusting a double reed. Thanks for any help. Sam

The bombard fingering seems to be very simple. You can see a chart at http://www.bmol.infini.fr/culture/bombarde/bombarde.us.htm
The chart is in French, but the notes shown are Bb, C, D, Eb, F, G, Ab, A and Bb. The range seems to be only one octave. The reed is just like an oboe reed but much harder, so you need incredible breath support to get a sound. Most bombard tunes are written with a line of melody, then an equal amount of silence, for you to get your breath back.

I could not get to the site "http://www.bmol.infini.fr/culture/bombarde/bombarde.us.htm" But, I really need a fingering chart ASAP to use. It would be of great help if one were located for me. Thanks!
