 Altissimo register for Bass Clarinet?

I can't hit anything above a c above the staff. I hav ethe fingering chart but I can't get it to work. the instrument's brnad new, so I know it's my embouchure, but I don't know what to do...

get an instrument designed to play high you ARE playing a BASS clarinet

You may need to firm up your embouchure. Altho i'm a regular Bb clarinet player i have tried the bass once or twice. It has a different embouchure than the standard clarinet. Keep messing around with it (try the lower altissimo first) and eventually you'll figure it out. And also as previously stated, you really aren't meant to play altissimo in bass clarinet unless you're doing solo works, they will take advantage of the entire range. But for ensemble, you'll be luck if you go above middle C. Hope this helps.
