Right now i am sitting in computer class not doing what i should be looking up oboe fingerings and reading through this forum while listening to "Tank" by the Seatbelts. Does this make me completly crazy? Or just an obsessive band geek?

yep, probably. i'm a obsessive band geek as well. i was in the library at school for study hall, and after i got done, i looked at piccolos. most times when i go up there, after i'm done, i either search about a Music Education degree or flutes/piccolos!!!

Well I started playing harp at 9 durin' the summer, that fall I learned flute and fell in love. Now (freshman) I play piccolo, flute, harp, horn, and clarinet. Every time I'm online I google search band geek stuff (like I found this place) otherwise I google: music education/all the instruments I play/band geeks.
Just my story. I wish band would never end.

I am proud to be a band geek! we have good times in band. taking doors off the hinges, hiding from the teacher in the closet above the shelves in the tuba room, annoying the crap out of the teacher, dissing the dorkestra, don't even start me on what the trumpets do. they duct tape people in closets regularly, well they did until the school ban duct tape. anyway now you know my story, it doesn't necisarilly make you a band geek, but yes you probably are one. be proud! POWER TO THE BAND GEEKS!!!

I play keyboard, clarinet(my main insturment), french horn, flute(im not gay), drums, tonette, recorder, occarina, pan pipe, six hole flute, quena, and a few other percussion! I've made All Parish Band on the Clarinet! I've made 1st chair on the Charinet. I look at music scholorships even though I am in eight- going to the nineth grade. Im a band Geek And Proud Of It!

Finally, I have found out I'm not alone with my friend Nneena, I am a band Geek! I only play the flute and want to play the piccolo! I'm only in sixth grade and i've been playing for two and a half years, and I'm continueing! I love playing it! The biggest accomplishment I made with my Flute was making G'n'T and I would love to play in an orchrestra ( I don't know if I spelt it right)!My friend Nneena plays the clairenet ( I can't spell), she is also in g'n't and we love our instruments! In gym, all we do is hum Band songs!
