 fingering for duet ocarina
Author: Kim
Date:   2004-11-30 20:13

For a "pre-holiday" gift, I received a Langley duet ocarina. For those who are unfamiliar with what "duet ocarina" is, it is a double-chambered ocarina so that you can play in harmony, with just one instrument.

It did not come with any instruction but I was able to figure out the fingering using four holes, which covered one octave, basically.

But I was told that a duet ocarina is supposed to cover two octaves and I wasn't able to find any fingering chart for duet ocarina on the web. Can anyone help me? Thanks a lot.

Hi Kim - the Langley duet ocarina covers just one octave (C to C or G to G depending on what size ocarina you have).

I got one at the Sidmouth Folk Festival and, although I'm not very good at it yet, I'm enjoying learning. Makes a lovely sound.
