 F Euphonium

I have seen insterment adds for euphoniums that claim to be Bflat/F horns. What does this mean?

A euph is in Bb, but when you press the 4th valve it becomes like an F instrument. Its not like you have to learn a new key or whatever, but its the same as pressing 1+3. Its basically saying it has a fourth valve.

Thank you, so thats good. I also plat tuba in my schools orchestra...and that tuba has a 4th valve, so i understand all the alternate fingerings this adds to the horn
