I think they kick ass... they have an ivory colored one with gold keys, it is beautiful...but expensive.

The advertising suggested they be purchased in your school colors. I think there was red, yellow, a light and dark blue, green, etc. IMHO, they looked like toys, not serious instruments.

they also play horribly, poor sound and intonation. They aren't really instruments, more like decorations.

A bit rude, eh, Clarinet guy?

Anyway, I don't play clarinet, I'm a flute/picc player but I think it would definitely depend on the color. The ivory with gold keys sounds really awesome, but something like red... ugh.

I've seen them, and the color variation looks neat but I would assume they play like crap. I have never personally wasted my money on some colored toy sold as a "quality instrument." I mean if you think about it, there's no way the colors could be as good as the black... though buying a cheap one for marching band may be worth it if your just going for "spirt" and volume and not aiming for good tone. Has anyone seen the black saxes? I've tried one out and man was it totally awsome! It was still metal and stuff but it was a really nice one and woha was it awsome!

Yea... just change the entire topic to saxes:D i myself am going to b buying either a black sax or a silver one? wut would everyone else choose? I am leaning more towards the black just bcuz i play it in jazz band, and jazz is "cool" and black saxes r "cool"... Opinions?

i want one my section leader has one of the ivory ones, and for your info it sounds just fine. they aren't just decorations, it depends on quality, and if it doesn't sound good its the player not the clarinet. i mean how does the color affect the sound?????? Am i right?

I like the normal Black with silver keys. To go back to the saxezs, theuy are hot, i find they look very Profesional. I am not sure, but to my opignion, the color could effect the sound becuase of the products they used to die the instrument. Or they type of wood/plastic. I dont know, it would also be heavier depending... i have not a slut, just assuming. If you play in an harmonie/orchastra.. w.e, i think it would be so weird if some one sitting in front row, centre would have a hot pink clarinet. Get something practical and get ppl to say "wow" from the way you play, not the color of your clarinet. 2 years ago i bought a wooden, black and silver clarinet, if you keep the maintnance on it and get it cleaned every so often, it looks cool. No need for fancy colors!
yes you would be sexy dude!
