I have been playing the flute for about two years, and I am now looking for a new (professional) flute. I need to know which flute I should get: Gemeinhardt(I have that now), Armstrong, Jupiter, or Pearl? Which one has the best sound? I have been thinking about getting a Gemeinhardt 3SB but I wanted to do some research. What do you suggest??

The sound is dependant on the player, and isn't even easy to describe given that. Personally, I don't buy instruments until I've played them. There is no way to tell from what we post. I haven't noticed much difference between flute models myself, but I would say Armstrong or Gemeinhardt, personally. I'm only familiar with Jupiter saxophones, though, so I can't say for sure.
