HI,
I need to know what notes a D,G, and C played on a bass guitar would correspond to in a tenor sax? Any ideas?

If the bass guitar is a C instrument which most are the note for tenor will be 1 full note higher.

D, G and C become E, A and D respectively. There may be an octave transposition involved as the open G on a bass guitar is a twefth below concert middle C. Bottom D on tenor sax is concert C below middle C.

How come that the fingering chart shows onthing... like D which corresponds and sounds C on the piano >>>???
Im just leaning to read music and very puzzled..
