do they make unstained r13 clarinets? my teacher has an r13 and it is as black the night. when i get mine i want to see the dark brown and places of black of the wood. it is purely cosmetic but i just want it that way. would i have to custom order it like that or do they offer one? are there advantages to having an unstained or stained clarinet or any woodwind instrument?

All wooden clarinets are stained to hide the defects in the wood. I don't like the staining too because my fingers always turn black after playing my new Buffet R13. You may contact Buffet and ask if you could get an unstained one.
