 from selmer to buffet clarinet

i'm kinda worried about switching from selmer to buffet. i know buffets are good clarinets and i really want an r13 but i have grown up playing selmer. if any of you have played a selmer clarinet and then a buffet clarinet, you will notice that the keys are like kinda spaced out more on a selmer than a buffet. this is especially true with the c#-g# key and that 'left side' d#-eflat key. selmer's keys are straighter and uniform than buffet (ex. i think selmer's a flat key is modeled after an oboe's octave key). buffet's are very curved and artistically shaped (buffet, like most other brands, have that tear shaped a flat key). i have not own but have had the pleasure of playing a buffet clarinet and, well i have long fingers. i like the sound but i kept hitting that c#-g# key and squeaking because of it. i feel dumb asking this but does buffet possibly have a model with keys spaced a little better for long fingered folk? who else has had this problem?

I think if you play the Buffet often, you'll get used to it. I switched to a Buffet from an Artley (made by Selmer) and it took a bit to get adjusted but I love my Buffet. I hope you get what you need though!
