Hi there. Love your site! I used to play clarinet at school (22yrs ago!!!) and am toying with taking up the saxophone. I reckon I'd probably go for Alto. Could anyone direct me to an adult beginners website, or just plain give me some advice please?!
Thanks,
P

Two suggestions:
1. Get the Book "The art of Saxaphone Playing" by Larry Teal
This is a famous book that will save you a lot of trouble by teaching you proper Embrochure from the beginning.
2. Spend a few bucks and find a really good teacher that works for you.
Good Luck,
Robert

I am living in Japan. Speak and read only English.
I have received an Antigua Winds Alto Sax for Christmas.
I have no experience with the Sax, do not even know
how to correctly hold the instrument.Do not even read
music. I really must start at the very beginning. I am
getting ready for retirement and looking forward to this
challenge. I have searched music stores here in Nagoya
for information in English without success. Ready to
purchase any material that can give me basic information.
I will be taking instruction as soon as I return to
America in the coming summer. In the meantime,I would really like to discover a source to assist me.
Any response appreciated
Ron
