hiya.
i was wondering if anyone could give some tips for sweatening the sound of my altissimo notes for alto sax. I can hit up to C in the middle altissimo register ok, but anything above that sounds too much like a squeak. so, any advice on how to get a sweater sound would be much appreciated. thanks

Wheni first learned my high notes on my alto, they sounded horrible and i would constantly squeak. Make sure you are hitting the notes and lip up a lot. After that, improve tone by opening the inner oral cavity with a yawning motion in our throat.

Drop your jaw and loosen your reed! Also wet your reed before you play! For a better sound, also you might try getting an alto sax mute, I know it sounds crazy, but out alto sax sectiom sucked and they all did all this and now they are really good. And trust me, I had to sit right behind them and hear them! This trick also works for bari saxes!
