hey why do some clarinets that are made of wood come with a plastic bell. also i have some with a plastic barrel also. why is this?

The buffet e10 is the sort of clarinet as you desribed - wooden clarinet with plastic bell. I checked from buffet crampon 's web site that the set up is to reduce the cost of the instrument suitable for the student switching from plastic to wooden clarinet.
