I would like to purchase a new flute however there are so many to choose from. My weaknesses are the high notes and speed in fingering. Can anyone suggest a good model with that in mind? Thank you.

When i started out, i had problems with the Jupiter, so i took it back and replaced it with the Gemeinhardt, which worked great! They aren't too bad with price either.

Yamaha, in my opinion, makes flute with good sounding high registers. The mechanisms are also very good. The 500 series and above models have white gold springs which is more durable and better than nickel springs.

Yamaha, Geimenhardt, Armstrong (and other makes) all make great flutes. I normally recommend ppl use their intermediate flutes when starting. Normally alot of the beginner flutes have too much air-flow resistance and cause more problems than necessary and turn ppl away from flute.
Though the 3 names above do make great student flutes too, Yamaha is probably the best across all their flutes (student, intermediate, pro). But i would try to stick to the above 3 names (though other brands may be just as good).
