 changing octaves

I really need help with this one, so if you have any suggestions, PLEASE HELP!
how do you change octaves on the oboe?
i.e. low to high

Have a look at the fingering charts on this site. You will see that for many notes, you use the first octave key, but for some notes there are different fingerings. It's all there in the charts.
