My bassoon bocal has some green metallic stuff (or rust) in it. Any suggestion how to clean it up? Hot water will do?

ooh. i play bassoon and i haven't yet run into this problem...but even though the bocal is metal, i don't think you should put it in hot water...ask your band director.
