low e flat in clarinet in b flat music

there is a low eflat in my clarinet in bflat music!!!!now i don't own a 'full' boehm clarinet with the low eflat key so what am i supposed to do? i bet this question has been asked before. anyway umm... in the music there are a couple of a piacere. those are 'cadenza's or improvs right? well anyway how do i know when the a piacere is over? does it end at the end of the measure or do i just begin playing regulary when the mood hits me.? sometimes the a piacere is written under these long measure with lots of tiny notes where it is obvious where the 'cadenza' ends, but sometimes it is under a regular looking measure, no fermatas or small notes in sight. also what does 'string.' mean and what does 'risoluto' mean? the music that i am playing has A LOT of high high c's and a's and bflats ( the second ones above the staff). there is this slur from first b flat above the staff to the second b flat above the staff and i can't get it. the fingering for the second b flat i'm using is fingered as 4th line e flat with the left hand C/F key. this fingering works the best but i can't get the slur. well anyway how do i know where "a piacere"s end, what do i do about this low eflat in my music, and what does "string." and risoluto mean?? anything helps.

Risoluto means to be energetic. Piacere means at the pleasure of the performer. ask your conductor what they would like for the piacere. from what i can tell without looking at the music is that it should end at the end of a measure unless it's indicated to go on. i maybe wrong. the low Eb? i'm not sure whta you mean by you don't own a full boehm clarinet. the lowest Eb on a soprano clarinet is the one on the bottom of the staff. there are no lower ones, if a music calls for it, try bumping it up an octave. it may have been written for an alto or bass clarinet and transcribed to a soprano. the best thing to do slurs is to pick the bets fingerings. dooing chromatic fingerings isn't always the best bet. you may have to change your fingering for the higher Bb to make the transition easier. there are plenty of fingerings on this site, play around with a couple to see which work better. hope this helps.

The Full Boehm clarinet is slightly longer than a standard Bb soprano and has a key for playing a low Eb. If you haven't got that key, there is no way of playing the low Eb. There's no combination of fingering that will do it, because your clarinet isn't long enough to produce that note. Your only option is to play an octave higher.
