I would personally not use a chemical like windex on my flute, which is made of silver. Make sure the cloth you are using is for silver instruments. You could also try asking the manufacturer what they recommend for removing fingerprints from your saxophone. I hope this helps.

most of the time applying anything to a musical instrument that is not specified for instruments is a bad idea. also your sax is not made of windows.

PLEASE DONT USE WINDEX YOU'LL KILL UR SAXOPHONE. IF U REALLY WANT IT CLEANED YOU COULD BRING IT TO THE MUSIC SHOP AND HAVE THEM CLEAN IT.

i have been using ordinary cleaners for about 6 years on my saxophone for years it works fine. i use this magic cleaner now it is a metal cleaner and it is a hell of a lot cheaper than that stuff at the music store. windex works just make sure not to spray your pads with it. by the way i havent had a problem with my pro sax yet and i have ha windex on it several times. it really doesnt hurt it. just use it the right way and dont leave it on it make sure its all wiped off. it cleans better than most store cleaners anyways. those fingerprints come off really easy with just a rag.
hope this helps
musically yours,
Jon
