i have a couple of grace notes in this iece of music i'm playing. i can't seem to get the grace notes in fast enough to stay in time with the rest of the music. for a while i had just left them out but i want to play the music as written. how do i squeeze them in?? they are usually 2 eighth(some times sixteenth notes}. they are usual between the first and second notes of a set of four sixteenth notes. should i shorten the first note so that i have time enough to play the grace notes? should i shorten the second note of the four notes(excluding the grace notes) to squeeze in the grace notes? should i shorten the 3rd and 4th note of the set of four sixteenth notes?? i play the grace notes as fast as i can but i can never stay in time.

what i would try is taking the music home and taking it slow and working it in but usually you just take so much off of the not the grace note leads into. but if you can just work up to it and take it slow and put that note in and then peed it up more and more. it takes practice but i am sure you will gt the hang of it. hope his helps
