Where can I find information to date a Martin Sax I have? The serial # seems to be 57305 and it says "low pitch"...
Thanks,
Jerry

http://www.themartinstory.net/ is the place to look , there's also a Martin section on the forum at www.saxontheweb.net/ .
Low pich is what you want if you're playing at a 440 , high pitch in the UK means about a quarter tone sharp and harks back to the old victorian band pitch A 440 wasn't finalised until 1939 . Martins are nice saxes although the intonation isn't perfect , but hey ,listen to Art Pepper !!
