Okie dokie...
I just looked at a lot of oboes on ebay that say "professional." If there is the Left-hand F key, there will be like 5 keys that your left-hand pinkey can press, correct? There are the three regulars you always see, and then the one in the middle kind of on top of them and this is the Left-hand F?
Okay, I'd like to know...What are the two keys on the bell for?? I`m guessing that if there is one, that means it is the B-flat key on the bell (on the right hand side below the Eb, C, C# stuff)...
What`s the one on the left hand side for?? Please let me know...
Or if you know of some diagram of the oboe that tells what each key is called and what it`s for (which would be pretty extraordinary) PLEASE let me know.
Please reply if you know the answers to these questions.
Thank you so much for any and all help!!

I wouldn't get caught up in the features of an instrument, and I definitely wouldn't get caught up in buying ANYTHING off of Ebay. Anyways the left F would be the 5th key on the left hand pinky stack, in addition to the low Bb. The other key that opens on the bell is the "Bb Resonance" key, and it serves to make the low Bb less stuffy, and more focused.

hey dboe, keep an open mind, you can get some pretty good deals on ebay. i bought a sax on ebay and it was pretty good but then i bought a trumpet and didn't get a good instrument because i knew nothing about the instrument.

no, the left F and F resonance are not the same. the left F key makes the note you are playing an F when used correctly. the F resonance key does the same job the Bb resonance key does that dboe was explaining, but for F.
