 'fat' pitch bend sound
Author: blues clarinet

have any of you heard the original recording of 'rhapsody in blue'? well any the clarinet has that opening entrance and i he or she plays with this pitch bend. it sounds just right blues or jazz music. it's not an half tone bend it's like the tone was bent maybe a quarter or an eighth flat or sharp. i was wondering how i can get that sound. Pete Fountain describes the sound as 'fat'
