Ive played the flute for 4 years, but i havent played in 3 years now. I just bought a new flute and cant figure out how the heck to make noise..lol...I need help, please write back if you can help me in any way.

Start out with just the headjoint of the flute, not the whole thing. It makes it so much easier. Watch that you're not covering too much of the embouchure hole with your lower lip. Also, find a mirror and check to see that your mouth is lined up with the hole correctly. When you play with your flute put together, make sure the keys are pointing UP. A lot of people tend to roll the keys in toward them. Um... are you playing on an open holed flute? If one of your keys is not covered completely, it's possible not to get a tone, or at least a good one.

It would probably be wise to go to your local music such as cascio and get information from there and see if anyone would give lessons. I know at the cascio near me, people go there for lessons.... hope i helped:)
