Hey *you*, I played through high school, college, and now am in a jazz band. It's about loosening up, relax the jaw, especially if you're used to playing alto or tenor. It's all about fun! Try different reeds, and if you can, different mouthpieces. Also, check for sticking keys. I was just having trouble with my high notes, after not playing for years, but took advice from a gal on the website - it worked! I'm having a blast, and want to work towards getting a sax quartet together someday.
Have fun, good luck!

You shouldn't expect to be able to play an instrument well after only three days. After a few weeks you should have mastered the basic fingering and after six months I'd expect that you should be able to get a decent sound of the thing. Take your time and practise a lot.
