Hi! I acquired a Normandy 7. I have not been able to find any information about this model. Can anyone help. It is in pretty good condition but needs a good cleaning... is this something I need a specialialist in vintage clarinets to do or a trust worthy local shop? I saw a reconditioned one that sole on ebay awhile back for $275--otherwise I know nothing about this model. Thanks in advance for pointing me in the right direction for information & getting this back in full playing shape.

They are made by Leblanc and are a good beginner/intermediate model.
Anyone good and trustworthy at clarinet repair can do any work that might be needed. You do not need a vintage clarinet specialist.

I think the Normandy 7 is different from the more recent LeBlanc-made Normandy 4 clarinet. I have a Normandy 7 which I bought used more than 20 years ago, and it wasn't very new then. It's better than beginner-intermediate quality. Does yours have a serial number engrave on each half of the key sections, and Made in France on it? Yours doesn't require a vintage clarinet specialist, just a good repair person. Mine has held up well with 1 overhaul and minor repairs as needed.
