 hitting the high notes

I play bari sax, a Yamaha. So fun, but when I play the high d, f, & e's, I get nothing but squeaky wind, (the worst kind.) I've tried adjusting my mouth on the mouthpiece, to no avail. The only way I can play them halfway decent is to start on a high c and roll up to the note. Any other suggestions?

it sounds like your tighting up to much but if i'm wrong you can always talk to your band director and if you cant then go to a music shop with your bari and most of them will help you for free hope this helps

Thanks! I did loosen up, and used my diaphram - the notes are there! I thought loosening up was best to produce the low notes, but it definately helped here. I'm getting back into this all, after taking years off. Nice to have found this site!
