I'm just wondering what all you guys think of the Rue Lepic Reeds by the Vandoren Company. Personally, I'm quite dissapointed with the reeds. I've played on Vandoren traditionals, V12s, Mitchell Lurie, and Mitchell Lurie Premiums previously. The Rue Lepics, I believe, seem to be the worst. They don't seem to be as stable as the traditionals or V12s, and they don't seem to be as fluent as either of the Mitchell Lurie type. This is just an open question for all who are interested in voicing a response...

As a user of Vandoren V12 reeds, I bought a box of #3 Rue Lepic reeds and tried them. I found them to be extremely consistant and all would be useable if I sanded them a little as they all are a bit harder than the V12 3s that I love.
The Rue Lepic reeds are thick like the V12s but have a narrower butt end which makes them a bit sharper for me. They remind me of the "Black Master" Vandorens which are also sharper for me. I prefer to stick with the V12s to make my tuning simpler. Usually, I get all reeds in a box to play great but it may take a little sanding or scraping.
Vandoren should be commended for their fine products.
